I think you are right in saying that if McCain wins that he will be in office for 8 years. I also believe that Mrs. Palin will develop into a political force to be reckoned with, even more so than Hillary. The American people find Sara to be more real and appealing than the bitter and desperate Hillary(politically speaking).

Just goes to show what a generation gap we dealing with and what teachers that promote socialism have done to the kids of our now day schools.

The Tidy Bowl Man is already Captain, and we have been going down the tubes for at least 40 years, Joe. Look at some of the bills that have been passed, and the so-called Conservatives that voted for them, and signed them. JFK was considered fairly Liberal in his time, but Bushy Boy is less of a Conservative than he ever was. And McCain even less than that. But, like I said before, lesser of 2 evils.
Can you imagine what a mess we would be in today if Gore had become Pres for 8 years? That man is an idiot!

I agree Woods! Bush is pushing this bailout plan nd does not seem to care about what is attached to it, just throw it in our laps to for us to deal with for the next ten to twenty yrs. Makes him look good and he does not have to worry with it because he`s outter there in 3 months.
Thing is if Barrack gets in there we will have to put up with STUPID in the worst way! When he says CHANGE it meens millons of dollars to us but just change to him and he wants more.
When he says hope! It meens that his train of thought is we will behave like cattle and he runs the butcher shop, what ever he wants he will take a slice from you to pass on to the welfare recipents of this country because he has to feed them for their votes.
He has turned completley Bazz ackwards on things like drilling off shore and to many other things to list in the past month alone that he has been against in the past. And yes it is JUST for the cattles vote and we can all say MOOOOOOO if he gets elected.
Next thing that he can be related to is the Pied Piper and we all know how that story ended.

Last night I heard that 190 economists from universities, think tanks, and private business had contacted Congress and urged them NOT to pass any bail-out plan. To let the free market run it's course, and to let those banks and mortgage firms that made poor lending decisions fail. Just as in the case of Wamu, if a company is worth saving, let private business bail them out. I totally agree. Hopefully some in Congress listened, and this is why the giant Omnibus bill failed.
But no, the stinking politicians want to keep their jobs and look good, so you can bet some kind of massive bill, costing us hundreds of billions or even trillions, will get passed sometime. I also heard 190 other bills had been tagged onto the bail-out bill, adding more pork to the package and tripling it's actual cost to the American people.
BTW, Congress is so concerned that after the bail-out bill failed they decided to all go home and take a few days off. Those few days will be spent making under-the-table deals in an attempt to get the bail-out bill and all it's pork passed. It will of course not solve the problem, it will only patch it up.
We need to get these @ssholes out of Washington, and vote it a whole new Congress, that actually listens to, and has the best interest of, the people. Not the morons we have now, whose main interest is in keeping their place in the power hierarchy.

I would go with that in a heartbeat! We need more people from the basically private sector like Palin with a grassroots point of view and no aristocracy tied to them like what we have now.
Most of he people in congress that we have problems with came from big money and that is all they know how to do is keep themselves in it by screwing the rest of us for it.
