Very nice! I am a bit sad that you swapped for a 350/TH350 combo instead of retro modding the original 235 I6, but its understandable since its probably going to be a daily driver.
Way back we had a 58 or 59 Apache 3600 (1 Ton) 261 I6 5.10 (dualie) rear end and a period flat bed with a PTO driven wintch on an A frame making sort of a boom truck. It was a farm/work truck but (and this was 15 years ago) we did a freshen up not a total frame off but put a quick paint job fixed some rust and dents ect... and went over the running gear. Sold it sometime after that but it was a nice vintage truck that I kinda wish we still had even though I am not really a chevy guy.

well luckly this isn't going to be my daily driver, i have my 94 toyota pickup which i plan on driving until the wheels fall off. But i thought about leaving the the 235 in there but i knew eventually i would swap it out for a 350. My plan is to keep this truck until the day i die. And this is only going to be phase 1, its going to be a life long project for myself. But my objective is to keep it as close to original as i can while changing things here and there.
but thanks for the complements everyone, i just can't wait for spring time so i can take her out again!
